Why I built Willow
I built Willow because every planner I tried eventually started to feel like a person I’d let down.
The streak apps were the worst of it. The number would climb, I’d get attached to it, and then one ordinary missed day would send it to zero. Somehow that felt like proof of something about me. So I’d quit, which is a strange way for a productivity app to work.
I didn’t want a tougher app. I wanted a calmer one: something that would quietly decide when each thing should happen, fit it around a real and messy day, and let finishing simply feel good. No chain to protect. No red. No grade.
Willow is that app. It’s built for how habits actually hold up against a real life, the kind with sick days and travel and afternoons that get away from you.
If you’ve bounced off the other ones, I hope this one feels different.
